Easter 2007 and its still raining!

Happy Easter to all fellow Sol Golfers, their families and guests .

Those of you already here will have seen John, Dennis and Vic trying to dodge the rain and have all the new items for around the pool in situ for the Easter break.
If you are here, you will know that the weather has been really bad and even with the best will in the world try as they have the area is not yet finished.
The plants and irrigation are finished (we may have a few casualties ) and the plan is to purchase the sun loungers tomorrow (hangover permitting )

The umbrellas that used to be around the pool, did not cost the Community anything and although they lasted two years it was felt to be pointless replacing them with something similar as it would still fall to the few to put them down on an evening.
We had hoped to purchase the bamboo type that can be seen at the beach, but these are over 200€ each and they are very small.
The Officials have purchased two gazebos which will at least keep the sun off the children and hopefully, we will not have to many complaints although we are not holding our breaths .
These have had to be sourced for the best price picked up to save on delivery costs and John, Vic and Dennis have spent their time and energy putting them up so that they will withstand the winds and also be safe for the Community.
All in all the pool area, which is our only Communal area is going to look even better this year and the hope is that everyone will enjoy it this summer.
